Sono brevi e molto divertenti storielle su come produrre il fango, su come riuscire a stare in piedi, su come perdere involontariamente una lettera sgradita, su come avere un'ombra, sulla difficile arte di non far niente, e così via. Si tratta di scritti inediti, tranne alcuni usciti in rivista. A seguire otto biografie di personaggi immaginari, mediamente strambe e paradossali, dall'antichità classica al Settecento. Le due raccolte sono state preparate e ordinate da Malerba nell'aprile 2008.
